Over the last decade Great British Menu has provided a benchmark for the most amazing food Britain has to offer. Hundreds of the UK’s finest chefs have been inspired, in the spirit of competition, to push the gastronomic boundaries for the opportunity to represent their region and win a place on a menu served for special guests at a prestigious banquet.

Each week three chefs compete in a regional heat under the watchful gaze of a seasoned veteran. At stake? A once in a life time chance to prepare a banquet fit for a king at a prestigious national event. Showcasing regional produce and local ingredients, chefs will have to devise the perfect four course menu, consisting of a starter, seafood dish, main and dessert.

During the tense final cook off, the locals get to decide which of their favourite courses will be served at the banquet, celebrating the very best of Britain’s cooking talent and food.
